Slazenger Mens 3rd's narrowly missed out on 3 points, losing out 3-2 to a well drilled doncaster side. The home team started brightly, showing impressive form and a lead within minutes of the start. After a long trip to Lincoln we went one down in the first half despite a lot of possession. The second half saw the team come out determined to enjoy their hockey and applied lots of pressure in the opposition D. Great wide play by all and passing caused enough pressure for a short corner converted to a goal with a drag flick by Matty Chilton. After having a week off Slazengers were ready for a battle. The game was a fairly even match but it was the Dragons who scored first. Slazengers battled on and equalised before half time from an open play goal from Claire Dunstan. Dragons had a number of short corners but failed to score but they then sneaked another goal from open play. Slazengers then scored the equaliser from a short corner goal from Stacey Drake.
