Boys U10's - England Hockey Cup Slazengers under-tens are through to the North of England Finals of the England Hockey Cup after an impressive performance in the penultimate stage of the competition at Weetwood in Leeds. Slazengers welcomed leeds hockey club on Saturday. The game started swiftly and Leeds opened the scoring from a short corner. Slazengers got back on top with three goals before half time; 2 goals from Richard Tuddenham and 1 from Danny Perry. Slazengers men's 2's visited Leeds men's 6's on Saturday and came away with a resounding 9-1 win. The tone of the match was set when straight from the push back, Slazengers moved the ball well and at pace resulting in Ted Richardson scoring inside 30 seconds. Slazengers hoped to get an easy win against struggling Doncaster. Things started off well when Sue Hope took a quick free hit and walked the ball straight into the goal without Doncaster realising the free hit had been taken. Slazengers ladies 3's travelled to York for their match against a university side positioned third in the league. The first half saw a competitive game with both teams evenly matched and hard work in midfield and defence ensured that the young university team did not put themselves on the scoreboard.
