Slazenger Seconds were just edged out of a ding-dong derby with West Yorkshire rivals Bradford seconds 3-2. Bradford nosed ahead, but outstanding midfield play by Jonny White got the home side back on track and Jonathan Halliday converted a well-worked short corner to level before the break. Never has the phrase 'open game' been so apt and never have Slazenger Thirds scored six goals and lost the match as they did following their 14 goal thriller with Bradford thirds. Slazenger raced into a two-goal lead only to conceded two, then as the game settled down Bradford introduced two players from higher teams who made all the difference.
