Slazengers long trip to Newcastle University in North Division 2 took its toll for a while, but ultimately proved successful. Newcastle started strongly and put the Slazenger defence under pressure but they were able to absorb anything thrown at them. It took about 20 minutes to break the deadlock but it was Slazenger who broke the deadlock through Windler. The first Yorkshire League match at home this season heralded an amazing 8-0 win for Slazenger Ladies over stunned Scarborough visitors. Scarborough were put under tremendous pressure from the outset. Ange Foster finished with a hat-trick while player of the match Holly Tyres bagged a brace. It was a familiar story for Slazenger seconds. Afte dominating most of their game with Hull thirds they came off second best 3-1. Marcus Taylor added weight to the Slazenger midfield, but Slazenger threw away possession early on and Hull nipped in to open the scoring.
