Slazengers mens 2nd team suffered their 2nd defeat in 3 games at the hands of a good Wakefield side eventually losing out 3-2. Slaz 4s played their first local derby of the season against Wakefield 7th's. The early encounters were close with chances coming for both side until Wakefield scored from a short corner to lead 1-0. Then the opponents struck again from a short to double their advantage. Then Slaz struck just before half time to narrow the deficit through John Sykes. It was a slow start for Slazengers Ladies 1's at Boston Spa this weekend. The opposition quickly gained a lead at the start of the match. Despite some great teamwork Slazengers finished 3-0 down at half time. The ladies team played much better in the second half, it was a shame to finish at 4-0. Slazengers ladies 3's faced tough opposition when they travelled to Sheffield Bankers on Saturday. Slazengers had a good first 20 minutes managing to hold their opponents to 1 goal lead. Sheffield Bankers passed the ball well and at half time Slaz were down 3-0. The 11 strong team were visibly exhausted and haribo were shared.
