Slaz ladies 1st team faced off against one of the strongest teams in the league;  Newcastle university 1st team. After a fast and furious game, the team came away with a solid draw, in a 6 goal thriller. Slazenger gave top of the table side, Newcastle University, a big scare in this league Division 2 clash but were unable to take any points. Slazengers firsts team briefly topped the North League Division 2 following their 2-1 win at York, but a 2-1 reversal at home to second-placed Newcastle University dropped them to second. Slazengers long trip to Newcastle University in North Division 2 took its toll for a while, but ultimately proved successful. Newcastle started strongly and put the Slazenger defence under pressure but they were able to absorb anything thrown at them. It took about 20 minutes to break the deadlock but it was Slazenger who broke the deadlock through Windler.
