Slazenger’s seconds came into this game in confident mood after some good results in previous weeks but were soundly beaten by a very strong student team. Slazenger’s were 3-0 down inside the first eight minutes and were eventually beaten 6-1 although the score line didn't reflect the effort put in by the Slazenger’s players. Slazenger’s third team entered this quarter final clash against Huddersfield, with confidence, after a resounding victory in the previous round, a confidence that was well founded and resulted in Slazenger’s coming away 4-0 victors. Slazenger’s seconds finally grabbed their elusive first win of the season with a well deserved 3-1 win away at LA Metros thirds, a result which will hopefully kick start their season. Slazenger were unable to maintain their recent winning form in the North League Division 2 East with this disappointing defeat at Norton.
