Slazenger had a tough encounter with Wakefield, however based on previous performances made their visitors look a lot better than they should. The team worked well in the early stages, with James Walker netting for the home team. However, Wakefield worked their way back into the game, equalising before the break. Slaz got off to a great start moving the ball round and not showing any signs of weakness. Good early chances were created from Robin Brearton passing down the line to Dan Perry down the right cutting across the D. Slsz 2nd team travelled to Leeds Adel Carnegie 6s and came away with all three points with a 2-0 win. It should have been an easy win for Slaz, who were top place before match and Leeds mid table, but it was far from easy. Slazenger's top of the table clash against Garforth proved to be just as difficult as anticipated. Despite shading the first 15 minutes of the match Slazengers were unable to capitalise on their superiority and this allowed the opposition to get back into the game.
