Slaz were facing a team with three points of them and near the relegation zone, this was a big match to keep clear of the fight for the bottom spots. Slazengers mens 2nd team travelled to Leeds on Saturday looking to make it 2 wins in 2 since the Christmas break and did exactly that with a well deserved 3-2 victory. Slazengers were without 2 of their regular defenders and when their only recongnised centre back was injured mid way through the 1st half, things could have turned out differently. Slazenger Mens 3's had tough opposition in Brigg 3's for their latest match in Yorkshire division 5. Earlier in the year Brigg had given the Horbury side a bit of a hockey lesson in the repeat fixture. Slazengers mens 2nd team shook off the cobwebs after a long Christmas break to come out 6-4 winners against Sheffield Hallam mens 5ths. In reality, there should have been further distance between the teams but a couple of defensive lapses by Slazengers allowed Hallam back into the game.
