Slazengers started brightly and immediately put Scarborough under pressure with the keeper making a number of good saves to keep the scores level. Slazenger mens 3rd's recorded their first win of the season. After a disrupted season, the team showed form which had been building over the last few weeks. Leeds attacked quickly in the opening minutes of the game, however Slazenger absorbed the pressure; full backs Dave Gascoigne and Paul Johnson worked cleaned up well. In a very close mid table battle Slazengers were tenacious pinning down the Rotherham side and reducing their opportunities. The midfield work really hard in both defence and attack against a strong adult based opposition. Slazengers mens 4th team faced up against Wakefield and hoped to record a double over their local rivals after a 3-1 win earlier in the season. Slazengers started strong and pounced first after centre forward John Sykes rushed through Wakefield’s defence and after an attempt the first goal came to Harry Gunning at the back post. Doncaster visited Slazengers development team which saw Slazengers well organised and moving the ball well. Before long Slazengers had a short corner for Matty chilton to strike from again.
