Despite last minute withdrawals, depleted Slazenger fifths took the honours as they won a hard-fought game at Hull YPI 2-1. The match could have gone either way, with Slaz reaching into a 2-0 interval lead, courtesy of goals from Haydn Foster and Rob Stevens. The second half saw intense pressure from Hull and Slaz conceded a goal to inject more tension into the game. DEPLETED SLAZENGER TRIUMPH IN THRILLER Slazenger travelled to Hull without several regular members of its squad - not knowing the strength or abillity of this Division One University side. Slazenger 4ths enjoyed a convincing 5-0 victory in their first league clash of the season against Normanby Park. Slazenger 3rd's warmed up for this week's league programme start with a convincing 7-1 thrashing of Huddersfield 5th's.
