Slazenger returned to winning ways with a well-deserved win over strong visitors Halifax. Unlike recent weeks, Slazenger started well and took an early lead when Mark Swinden fired a superb shot into the roof of the net. Slazenger's scintillating six-goal second-half show steered them to a comprehensive victory over visiting Ben Rhydding. The hosts were made to work hard in the first half by experienced and well-organised opposition but took the lead after 15 minutes through man of the match Gavin Kaye.
