Police scored two early goals but Slazenger arrested the slide and half-back Anwar Al-Kahili and Tony Sidwell started to cause the home side problems. In a highly entertaining match between two evenly matched sides, Slazenger thirds and visitors City of York 5th's, a 1-1 draw was probably the fairest result. Slazenger moved the ball around nicely in the first half against York and had the best chance of the game, but failed to make it count.
