Slazenger’s seconds suffered another disappointing defeat at the hands of Brigg seconds in a game that they should have so easily won. Slazenger were left disheartened after Bradford scored with the last touch of a game that the Horbury side should have won easily after missing numerous chances. Slazenger seconds recorded their second league win on the season with a hard fought but scrappy win over Airedale firsts. The home side entered the game knowing that anything less than a win would not be good enough and that added pressure showed early on, with Airedale making much of the early running and home 'keeper Tom Peniston making some good saves. Slazenger’s seconds came into this game in confident mood after some good results in previous weeks but were soundly beaten by a very strong student team. Slazenger’s were 3-0 down inside the first eight minutes and were eventually beaten 6-1 although the score line didn't reflect the effort put in by the Slazenger’s players. Slazenger’s seconds finally grabbed their elusive first win of the season with a well deserved 3-1 win away at LA Metros thirds, a result which will hopefully kick start their season.
