Straight from the start, Slazenger set out their stall to take the game to a side the Horbury men had never beaten. Slazenger secured three vital Yorkshire League 1 points with a reasonably solid performance against Bradford. Slazenger took an early lead in the first half with a well-taken goal from Butel. DEPLETED SLAZENGER TRIUMPH IN THRILLER Slazenger travelled to Hull without several regular members of its squad - not knowing the strength or abillity of this Division One University side. Second-half consolidation offers Slazenger hope of league success Slazenger were well up for this hard game against a Leeds team two divisions higher than themselves - but class told.
