Slazengers mens first XI suffered a heavy defeat at home to a very strong Leeds university side on Saturday eventually going down 7-1. As with most university sides, Leeds were a young, fit team with a number of subs to utilise and Slazengers found it difficult to keep up to their pace and although Slaz did control some good periods of possession, they found themselves 4-0 down at the break. First team need a victory SLAZENGER Mens first eleven continued their poor start to the season recording their 5th defeat in as many games away at fellow strugglers Brigg seconds. Slazengers mens first team were looking to bounce back after a difficult start to the season against a Harrogate side who were also looking for their first win. Slazengers mens first eleven visited a very strong Hull second team on Saturday which consisted of a number of former national league players with hopes of causing an upset but were outclassed and out muscled by the opposition. With no league game this week, Slazengers mens first team played strong opposition in Leeds mens seconds in the yorkshire cup on Sunday and as is usual with Sunday games, other commitments meant Slazengers entered the game with a weakened side.
