Slazengers mens first team finished the season with a 4-1 win against a physical Rotherham side. Slazengers pressed from the whistle and went close on a number of occassions, Paul Wiper finally getting the break through with a deft touch to elude the Rotherham keeper. Sunday saw Slazengers entertain local rivals Wakefield 3rd team with Slazengers putting in a strong performance to come away with a 5-1 win. Slazengers started brightly and took the lead when Ben Graham finished off a good run from Dan Perry. Slazengers mens first team travelled to Bradford Mens first team in confident mood only to come away on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline. Slazengers started poorly and were quickly one down after Bradford capitalised on a Slazengers defensive error. Sunday saw Slazengers mens first team play their second game of the weekend against Leeds Adel Carnegie 3's. Slazengers dominated much of the possession in the first half only to see Adel take a lead off a quick break. Slazengers mens first team new they were in for a tough time against Lincoln Roses second team having lost 3-0 earlier in the season but in the end were disappointed to come away with only a 2-2 draw. Both teams had some good possession in the first half and it was up to Richard Tuddenham to break the deadlock with a fierce strike from the top of the 'D'.
