Slazengers mens first eleven suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds which could certainly come under the title of 'difficult to take'. Slazengers mens first XI suffered a heavy defeat at home to a very strong Leeds university side on Saturday eventually going down 7-1. As with most university sides, Leeds were a young, fit team with a number of subs to utilise and Slazengers found it difficult to keep up to their pace and although Slaz did control some good periods of possession, they found themselves 4-0 down at the break. With no league game this week, Slazengers mens first team played strong opposition in Leeds mens seconds in the yorkshire cup on Sunday and as is usual with Sunday games, other commitments meant Slazengers entered the game with a weakened side.
