Slaz ladies 1st team faced off against one of the strongest teams in the league; Newcastle university 1st team. After a fast and furious game, the team came away with a solid draw, in a 6 goal thriller. Slazenger’s ladies earned a 2-2 draw away against Doncaster 4th’s. Hannah field took the first push back of the game and Slazenger’s were in with a good chance of scoring the opening goal. Well, October is here and almost a month of the season has gone already! So here is a roundup of news and goings on at your club from the last month.... Halloween! Slaz Ladies 1sts travelled all the way to Alnwick in their first game against the North East team. As a team which had finished high in the league last season, the Horbury side knew they would be playing a tough match, but came out of it with the first win of the season.
