Slaz knew that they had to beat Halifax to avoid a possible bottom three place this week. Although Halifax had been beaten soundly by Slaz the first game of the season, they had some good results under their belt and an easy game was by no means guaranteed. Report: 05-01-2013 - Ladies 2nd's (3) vs. (0) Canalside Terriers 1st's Slazengers ladies seconds were all fired up after the festive break and arrived in Mirfield with high hopes of a win against Canalside Terriers who were sitting comfortably at 5th in the league. Slazengers pressed well from the off and were showing promise with several shots on target that were saved by the Terriers keeper. Slazengers began this second fixture of the weekend knowing a win would take them out of the relegation zone and above their opposition. However, a promising start was soon halted as an error in defence gave possession to the opposition who promptly scored. Undeterred, Slazengers regrouped.
