A win for the Slazenger ladies second team at home at the weekend left them 7th in the table. Throughout the first half the home team played some excellent hockey, gaining most of the possession. The Ladies second team enjoyed a 2-0 win at home to Doncaster Independent at the weekend. The first half was dominated by Slazengers with great play from the midfield particularly Stacey Binns producing some great crosses into the D. There is probably more to say about the run up to the match than the match itself! A double header of hard away games was on the menu for Slaz this weekend. After being soundly beaten by Boston Spa at home, Slaz were not expecting an easy ride and losing key player Katie Firth within the first few minutes of the game did not help their cause.
