Slazenger's ladies 3rds battled hard against Brigg and the points were shared. Slazenger's were 3-0 down at half time about some spirited half time team talk and positive attitude resulted in Slazenger's coming out fired in the second half. Slaz ladies 3rd's took on Colne Valley and dominated from start to finish. With some excellent work from midfield Slazenger's had early chances but couldn't break the deadlock. 10 mins into the first half, Gemma whittam was lethal at the back post and fired home the first. Despite bad weather for the past 3 weeks preventing training sessions, and some new players in the team, Slazengers was off to a strong start, with Gemma Whittam scoring the first goal of the match within the first few minutes.
