On Saturday 13th October a long drive to Hull eventually brought the reward of a match well played and won. Slaz’s newly promoted side were missing a few team members against last seasons demoted side, and struggled to perform to the higher standard shown by Hull. After the drama of the Dragon's game the day before it was natural that Slaz felt a little jaded for their trip to Hull. Slazengers mens first eleven visited a very strong Hull second team on Saturday which consisted of a number of former national league players with hopes of causing an upset but were outclassed and out muscled by the opposition.
