With both teams at the top side of the league it was going to be a tough game. Both teams went out hard and at half time there was no score despite Slazengers having chances. Slazengers mens 2nd team faced Huddersfield mens 3's in their penultimate game of the season and ran out comfortable 5-0 winners. Slazengers were quick off the mark and put Huddersfield under early pressure but failed to find the net until midway through the half when Brett Cunningham finished off a good cross from winger Ian Hedges. After having a week off Slazengers were ready for a battle. The game was a fairly even match but it was the Dragons who scored first. Slazengers battled on and equalised before half time from an open play goal from Claire Dunstan. Dragons had a number of short corners but failed to score but they then sneaked another goal from open play. Slazengers then scored the equaliser from a short corner goal from Stacey Drake. After a succesful 'Back to Hockey' campaign over the summer Slazenger's 4th ladies team travelled to Huddersfield with 5 of their new players. It was a great team effort the first half and Slazenger were unlucky to conceed a goal.
