Slazenger Mens 3rd's returned to League action in a new league for the third time in 3 seasons. With a place in division 4 and host of new players in the squad, the team were looking to start the season on the front foot. Slazengers mens 2nd team continued their recent good form with a 2-0 victory away to league leaders Doncaster 4ths. Slazengers started the game well and were determined not to let Doncaster settle, putting pressure on the ball and not letting the Doncaster midfield time to get into the game. The latest tournament for the Slazenger U16 boys was held at Harrogate on 1st December. Once again, Slazenger were competing in the 1st division. Slazenger 0 - 2 City of York The opening game was against main rivals City of York. Slaz had a different side out that struggled to get its positioning sorted, but battled for possession and played some good hockey getting the ball quickly moving around. It wasn’t until midway through the first half that midfielder Will Buckley opened the scoring with a drive into the D and taking a reverse stick shot into the far corner of the goal. Slazenger men's 3rd's travelled away to Doncaster for the 5pm game under the lights, coming away with a hard fought 3-1 result. The game started smartly, with Slaz playing some good passing hockey and controlling the field.
