Slazenger Boys U10's continued their unbeaten start to the Yorkshire Youth Hockey Association's six-a-side competition with four more wins from games played at Outwood Grange College on Sunday. Slazenger U10s Girls A ended the year on a high with a fantastic display of hockey in the final tournament of the year. A 1-1 draw with Ben Rhydding was followed by a superb 5-1 victory over Doncaster thanks to goals from Rebecca Jessop, Ellie Spruce and Lucy Kent. Slazenger U10s Boys played their last tournament of the season at Huntingdon and despite some disappointing results, they showed great progress. With no chance of silverware this season, Slazenger gave boys who will still be young enough to play next season a run out. Slazenger’s seconds took a hard fought point off an experienced Doncaster side but will be disappointed not to take all three. The Horbury side started brightly and used their pace to attack Doncaster down both flanks creating a number of chances only to be thwarted by the visiting keeper.
