Slazengers men’s second team hosted league leaders Chapeltown 3s, in the end losing 4-1. Although the result shows why Chapleltown are top of the league, it was a match of two halves. In the first half Slazengers were Chapeltown’s equal creating as many if not more chances than the visitors and both teams could have taken the lead but going into half time the score was 0-0. After a game slaz should have won last week they were hoping for a good result from a home match against Leeds 5s. This was not the case and slaz lost 3-0 to a strong, skilful team. The first half started well for both teams creating chances and resulting in end-to-end hockey. The good run of play for slaz ended with an injury and then a goal against them. Slazenger Men's 3rds took to the pitch after a long break as a result of winter weather, coming away with a well fought 2-1 victory. The team started brightly, attacking swiftly. Slazengers mens first team hosted Chapeltown 2's in the cup on Sunday and came away with a deserved 4-2 win.
