Slazenger U16 Boys have stormed up the league after they enjoyed a clean sweep of three wins from their trip to the KC Stadium in Hull. They received a morale-booster in their first game, beating league leaders Driffield 2-1. Jake Barras opened the scoring and despite Driffield leveling the scores, Slazenger won the game with Chris Woods strike. Slazenger Starlets Selected for Yorkshire

SLAZENGER Hockey Club is celebrating after four of its young players were picked for the West Yorkshire Youth Hockey teams. The quartet are Lee Secker (U16), Gareth Ventom (U14), Jermane Cockerill and Christopher Wood (U13s) and they were picked after attending four weeks of development training with 30 other players from each age group, with 16 eventually making the cut. SLAZENGER Boys U16;s continued to make good progress in the Yorkshire Youth League at the weekend. A tough first match against top side Rotherham ended 2-0 in the South Yorkshire side's favour, but the goals came late and Neil Hutchins and Eddie Richardson spearheaded an outstanding Slazenger defensive display. Slazenger Boys U16's had a good set of results from their latest round of Yorkshire Youth League fixtures. Goals from Whawell, Kaye and Stuttard produced a comfortable 3-0 win over York. Whawell scored again in the second game only for Scarborough to hit back at the death to pinch a dramatic draw.
