As the morning progressed they began to gel as a team, and made significant progress against sides which in the main were physically bigger and stronger and more experienced. Slaz v York lost 0-2 (1st in league) Slaz v Driffield lost 0-3 (4th in league) Slaz v Ben Rhydding lost 0-5 (3rd in league) Slazengers were playing the top sides in the region, and were expected to struggle. Tournament played at Slazenger Hockey Club, on 6th December 2009 Wakefield B 1-1 Slazenger Wakefield started strongest, but Slazengers began to dominate.
