Slaz v York lost 0-2 (1st in league)

Slaz v Ben Rhydding lost 0-5 (3rd in league)
Slazengers were playing the top sides in the region, and were expected to struggle. However, they fought well against three very good sides, and never gave in. The first game was tight against a a good York side, eventually losing 2-0. Their second game against Driffield, the eventual tournament winners, saw them lose 3-0. The final game against Ben Rhydding saw them conceding only 1 goal in the 1st half, but a late collapse saw slazengers lose 5-0, which flattered the opposition. Despite all the teams hard work, and the creating of several good goal chances in each match against superior opposition , it was not meant to be. The players competed at the highlest level, battled hard and were not disgraced.
