For the first fixtures of the season, Slaz travelled to Ben Rhydding to take on two home teams and Leeds/Adel. On Sunday, Slazenger Boys U14 travelled to Huntington School with a 16 strong squadWith 5 spare players, we were able to help out Leeds/Adel who had only 9. Alex King & Nathan Archer went on loan throughout the day so that they both got plenty of game practice, impressing the Leeds coach with their enthusiasm and skill. Slazenger played some good passing hockey and showed signs they were starting to gel as they competed in their third tournament of the season in Harrogate. Despite losing the opening game 3-0 against Rotherham, Slaz hit back with a battling 1-1 draw against Thirsk , thanks to a Jake Barras goal.
