Despite battling performances the back boys couldn’t prevent a 50 reversal at the hands of Ben Rhydding, a 10 defeat to Harrogate and a 7-1 beating by Thirsk. Slazenger Boys U14’s put in a series of creditable performances in their first outing of the season. They lost by narrow margins to Bradford and Rotherham but managed a good 1-1 draw with Huddersfield. George Sutcliffe, Richard Hutchins and Robin Ratcliffe stood out for Slazenger.
