Slazenger produced their best performance of the season to edge out Ben Rhydding's second string. They had the visitors on the back foot throughout but were thwarted time and again by excellent goalkeeping. Ben Rhydding had the first scoring chance from the penalty spot but man of the match Dave Helam made a great diving save to keep yet another clean sheet. SLAZENGER RISE TO CHALLENGE TO CRUSH NEAREST TITLE RIVALS Slazenger were out to prove themselves against their second placed opponents - and they rose to the test. A positive start was made by both teams, with Nick Webb opening the scoring for Slazenger with a well-taken corner. Division 9 champions Slazenger fifths gave a brilliant performance to beat a strong Ben Rhydding side 6-0.Slaz played their Division 7 opponents off the park with their usual fast-flowing passing led by Richard Baker and Jonathan Clewlow, who bagged a fantastic hat trick in man of the match display - with the duo consistently terrorising the visitors on both wings.
