Slazenger produced their best performance of the season to edge out Ben Rhydding’s second string.
They had the visitors on the back foot throughout but were thwarted time and again by excellent goalkeeping.
Ben Rhydding had the first scoring chance from the penalty spot but man of the match Dave Helam made a great diving save to keep yet another clean sheet.
This spurred Slazenger on and within five minutes they were ahead through Alec Gilston from a goal-mouth scramble.
The remainder of the first half was a well fought battle with the ball flying from end to end.
Slazenger were put under pressure in the second half but defended well before hitting back to create further scoring chances of their own.
All in all, however, league leaders Slazenger were happy to take all three Yorkshire League Division 1 points.
Slazenger entertain Hull University on Saturday, push back 1:30pm.
