Slazengers mens 2nd team suffered only their 2nd defeat in 8 games at home to Halifax on Saturday, eventually losing 3-2. Halifax were a skillful direct side and Slazengers struggled to adjust their play to suit. Slazengers travelled to Chapeltown in the morning for a crucial match in their promotion chase. Chapeltown were in 3rd place before the game and 5 points behind Slaz with a game extra to play. Slazengers Mens 2nd team continued their recent good form with a 2-1 victory over Ben Rhydding 4's and although the win was deserved, the match was far from a classic.
