The mens 1st team hosted Hull University 1st's for the first home game of the season. Slazengers started brightly, playing some expansive possession hockey; moving the ball quickly and denying Hull the ball. Ladies 4th team have welcomed several younger players this season and despite losing 3-0, the team are starting to put their training into practice and are hopeful of progressing as the season continues. Captain Simon Taylor's 3rds hosted Rotherham for their first home game of the season. The opening half was almost all one way traffic, with Slazenger holding almost all of the posession. Slazengers Men's 2nd team got over the disappointment of the previous week with an excellent 7-1 victory at home to Chapeltown 2's on Saturday. Straight from the off, Slazengers laid a marker down not giving Chapeltown any time to settle and pressing at every opportunity.
