It was a slow start for Slazengers Ladies 1's at Boston Spa this weekend. The opposition quickly gained a lead at the start of the match. Despite some great teamwork Slazengers finished 3-0 down at half time. The ladies team played much better in the second half, it was a shame to finish at 4-0. Lisa Minchella gave a solid performance as always, with some great passing from Frankie Tyrrell. … [Read more...] about Report: 10-10-2015 – Ladies 1st’s (0) vs. (4) Boston Spa 1st’s
Report: 10-10-2015 – Ladies 2nd’s (6) vs. (2) Leeds University
With a special line up containing 2 players that have been MIA for a few seasons and another player who has an adorable 2 week old baby, Slazengers got off to a strong start. The U12 boys took part in their first tournament of the season on Sunday with a new look team playing together for the first time. I'm the first match, they came up against a strong Doncaster side and failed to convert their chances, but Aidan Coughtrey played well in goal to keep a clean sheet. After a good team talk, the boys went on to play Wakefield and showed that they could play some good hockey. Alex Stacey opened the scoring and continued to score a hat trick, as did Will Gascoigne. … [Read more...] about Report: 04-10-2015 – Boys U12’s Tournament
