Slazenger reached the final of the Mens 1st XI Yorkshire Cup after a dramatic victory scoring a golden goal in extra time to set up a mouth watering final against local rivals, Wakefield. It may have been Valentine's day, but Slazenger have no love of playing at Stockton and for the third successive season came away empty handed. Slazenger 2nd's dissapointing run continued with their fourth defeat in five losing 6-2 away to Halifax. The Horbury team had to play the entire game with 10 men after suffeing a number of injuries the previous week.
