Slazenger Boys U14’s defence felt the strain in their latest round of matches. Despite battling performances the back boys couldn’t prevent a 50 reversal at the hands of Ben Rhydding, a 10 defeat to Harrogate and a 7-1 beating by Thirsk. Newcomer Ian Hedges war the singular success story from Slazenger’s stand point.

On Sunday, Slazenger reached the final of the Yorkshire cup with a stunnig 6-1 success over Hallam University. Slazenger were one up within ten minutes through Foster who went on to complete his hat-trick. Other scorers were Wiper (2) and Butel. Slazenger will play Chapeltown in the final.
