The men’s 4’s showed great composure and control, after going 1-0 down to bring the result back to a draw. Slaz played well and made some good passing moves in the midfield, showing marked improvement since the beginning of the season. It was York who score first, a pass picked up on the back stick and scored from a back stick flick; and infringement not spotted by the umpire.
Slaz showed great grit and determination to continue pressing for the equaliser; and it was Darren Buttery, picking up the long ball and striking past the keeper who levelled the score. The visitors continued to pressure, but while they were in the ascendency in the dying minutes, they were unable to secure a winner.
James Higgins picked up man of the match for another impressive performance in midfield.
