Sheffield came out hard and put Slaz under a lot of pressure and threatened the Slaz D several times early on. Thanks to great saves from James Cowden, Slaz were able to build an attack and looked as dangerous as Sheffield on the break. Slazengers wanted a strong response after their recent setback and didn't disappoint in the match at home against Sheffield Hallam. From the start Slazengers started with a good tempo and with a slightly altered team formation, played a more pressing game than in their recent performances. Slaz 4th's went to Wakefield with a very young team and came away with a share of the points. The visitors got off to a good start and took the lead through Daz Buttery. Wakefield levelled through a keeper blunder, the ball deflecting off captain Giles Field's pads for an own-goal. The U16 Boys team qualified for the playoffs with two wins on Sunday. Slazenger 6 - 0 Bridlington In Slazenger's first game of the day against Bridlington, a hatrick from Aidan Hopkinson and goals from Robert Cann, Peter Gunning and Luke Gueli (Pen) ensured a positive start.
