Slazenger Mens 2nds put an end to a historic undefeated run at Lincoln Roses 3rd’s. The team had been undefeated at home for 7 years, and with Slaz travelling out to Lincoln with a bare 11, things did not look promising.
However, the visitors got to stuck in; Byron Dean opened the scoring. A strike from right wing Matthew Stacey was saved by the keeper, only for the Dean to pick up the rebound and slot it home.
Slaz continued the pressure, however it was left-back Mark Swallow who scored the second, with a strike from the edge of the D.
The win lifts the team back into second place with a game in hand.
