This was a fixture with an edge, as two ex-Dragons lined up against former team-mates for Slazengers. Huddersfield were a surprisingly strong team for a bottom of the table side and started brightly. However, Captain Holly Tyers took a yellow card for the team earning 10 minutes off the pitch from back-chatting with the umpire. The side being down to 10 men spurred the whole team into action.
Katie Firth struck from a well-worked short corner to give Slaz a half time lead. Katie then went on to bag herself a hat-trick in the second half with two more from short corners. Holly Tyers scoring into the roof of the net to round off a great ground out team performance.
Katie Firth deservedly won Player of the Match in both games for an outstanding contribution.
