Slazenger U16’s had an excellent day’s hockey in the latest round of Yorkshire Youth League matches.
Skipper James Swinden led his side to two wins and a draw for seven valuable points.
Frustrated by excellend goalkeeping against Driffield, Slazenger had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
But the side went on to record 1-0 and 3-0 victories over Bradford and Rotherham respectively. Scorers were Richard Whawell (v Bradford), Swinden, Robert Stephens and Mark Smith.
Jonathan Clewlow and Gavin Kaye were outstanding.
