Slazenger Mens 3rd's returned to League action in a new league for the third time in 3 seasons. With a place in division 4 and host of new players in the squad, the team were looking to start the season on the front foot. Opened up game play extremely strong providing Huddersfield Dragons a difficult challenge. Shots on goal were unfortunately saved - with some hitting the post causing frustration. Pressing forward Dragons were able to score twice before Slazengers eventually connected with the back board after a fantastic strike at a difficult angle from Helen Hough. All started well with Slazengers determined to win their first league match of the season despite many new young faces in the side. Slazengers dominated the game but failed to capitalise on several good chances and numerous short corners; Slazengers were just unable to find the back of the net. Summer League: Final Round Up
A big thank you to all those who turned up to compete in the Summer League. The last 7 weeks have been a great competition, with final standings not being resolved until the last game. In the end, it was Team 5 who took the title, with the Red Team - Team 4 scooping second place from Team 3 in the final week.
