Slazenger absorbed so much pressure in the first half that it was inevitable that something would have to give. Slazenger Seconds failed to hit top form on grass at Dinnington, but did enough to secure three points with a 2-2 draw and with it Yorkshire League Promotion. Slazenger took the lead with a well-worked Mark Swinden goal, but Dinnington hit back to level before the break and nosed in front with a second just after the interval.
