Slazenger 5th's edged past Huddersfield 7th's 1-0 amid driving rain on Saturday. Both sides had excellent chances to win the game, but superb goalkeeping and defending kept everyone on tenterhooks. The break came from a short corner in the second half with Richard Baker sneaking the bal home at the far post. The final 15 minutes were very tense, but Slaz help firm. Slazenger fifths ground out a hard-fought 2-1 win at Sheffield 6ths. Slazengers shrugged off a poor first-half to take the spoils against Hallam. After a goalless and dour first-half, Slaz came out fighting and it wasn't long before the stale-mate was broken courtesy of an outstanding goal from James Swindon. Slazenger fourths conceded four goals in the first 20 minutes of their encounter with Lincoln thirds and never really recovered from the set-back. They lost 5-2.
