Slazenger kicked off an outstanding 'double' weekend with a Yorkshire League 1 triumph over top-of-the-table rivals Ramgarhia. Slazenger Vets edged a close contest with Adel 2-1 in a high-speed encounter. Adel opened the scoring off a short corner, but Slazenger then matched Adel play-for-play. George hutchins pulled off an excellent save to keep Slazenger in contention, then sustained pressure either side of half-time led to an equalising goal for Graham Parker.
