Slazengers long trip to Newcastle University in North Division 2 took its toll for a while, but ultimately proved successful. Newcastle started strongly and put the Slazenger defence under pressure but they were able to absorb anything thrown at them. The first Yorkshire League match at home this season heralded an amazing 8-0 win for Slazenger Ladies over stunned Scarborough visitors. Scarborough were put under tremendous pressure from the outset. Ange Foster finished with a hat-trick while player of the match Holly Tyres bagged a brace.
