Slazengers mens first team finished the season with a 4-1 win against a physical Rotherham side. Slazengers pressed from the whistle and went close on a number of occassions, Paul Wiper finally getting the break through with a deft touch to elude the Rotherham keeper. Sunday saw Slazengers entertain local rivals Wakefield 3rd team with Slazengers putting in a strong performance to come away with a 5-1 win. Slazengers started brightly and took the lead when Ben Graham finished off a good run from Dan Perry. A win for Slazengers in this local derby could mean Promotion to the feeder league, so Slazengers made sure they took the challenge seriously.
