Slazenger Men’s 2nd Team travelled to Leeds Adel Carnegie and won 4-0. Although the final score looked impressive the match started out quite even and slaz didn’t score until the start of the second half. Slaz mens 3's had two league games this weekend. The first of these was against Hull University, where the team were unlucky to come away with a loss. The team pressed from the off, with some fast passing putting the team well inside the teams half within seconds. Unfortunately the team were unable to convert. Slazenger's acquitted themselves well in this top of the table clash against high flying Doncaster. Both sides were disciplined, contained some skillful players and managed to keep their shape, working hard in both attack and defence. Slazenger went into Saturdays match looking to take their winning run into a 3rd week, only to suffer a 5-1 reversal to a clinical Roseberry side. Slaz started brightly, with some fast flowing hockey. Good build up play fed Sarah Cooper for several close efforts. This match was always guaranteed to be a tough, physical encounter. Doncaster Independent attacked from the onset and put Slazengers immediately on the defensive, battling hard to clear the ball from their defensive 25 yard area.
